COVID-19

Updated: Mar 15

LFDF Families and Friends,

Out of an abundance of caution, I am making the decision to move up our planned, week-long, Spring Break holiday and close the studio this week for all scheduled classes. Please understand, that these days would have been taken next month for Easter anyway, but because of the current Coronavirus situation in our area - in addition to the school closures statewide - I wholeheartedly feel as though moving them to this week is the best plan of action for everyone’s health and safety. I do know that many families travel for Easter. If you already have plans to go out of town in a few weeks, I completely understand if your child is absent then.

I want to assure you that I do not take closing the studio lightly. I know I said in my previous email that I would not close unless I was told to, but, after discussing the potential risk further with not only my faculty but my husband and family as well, we have all determined that for everyone’s sake - myself and the baby included - taking our holiday early is the right thing to do.

Please understand that this is a rapidly changing situation but I am doing my best to be proactive in the event that this temporary closure must be extended. I am currently looking into the possibility of offering online classes for the time being if we must remain closed past this week. If this does become a viable option, I will send details on how to access the classes in a future email. If this does not prove to be a successful method of temporarily continuing class, we will of course provide makeup classes for any time missed beyond this weeks’ early holiday. I will also be doing another deep clean at the studio and working on recital music/planning during this time.

In closing, you have my word that we will be keeping you updated and informed to the best of our ability. Please continue to monitor your emails, as I hope to have an update for all of you by the end of the week.

Thank you in advance for your understanding as well as continued support of LFDF.

Respectfully,

Loren Fenerty
